As of February 2016 the group is no longer active, as Prof. Batlogg has been transitioned into emeritus status. This website provides an overview over the group's former activities.

The main theme of our research was novel physical phenomena, mainly of electronic and magnetic nature, in new materials. We explored the basic microscopic physics and potential applications, employing a wide range of synthesis and crystal-growth techniques. Electronic, thermal, magnetic and other physical properties were measured in-house and in numerous collaborations worldwide.
